TRAINING

As all weapons are potentially very dangerous, tuition is given in the safe handling and use of weapons for the safety of our members and the public at displays. Members are taught how to strip and re-assemble weapons as well as the history of the weapons we use ( Please note: Any weapons owned by Kompanie 1 or our members are legally owned and are police or proof house approved, and licences, where required, are held ).

Time is also spent researching and teaching infantry tactics along the lines of those used by all the front line troops we portray. We are then able to put these tactics to use in battle situations which gives added realism to these scenarios for private battles and for public displays, and as pyrotechnics are normally used at both types of events, members are taught how to act in a safe manner as well as being taught basic pioneer skills.

These weekends are not all books and homework either! Members can also discuss or find out more about uniforms and equipment, especially as we like everything to be historically correct, buy and sell items and in the evening have a few beers. HOORAH!
